Due to the ongoing growth within our firm, we require a Finance Process & Automation Lead to join our team and play a key role in transforming our internal accounting department. As we modernize our operations, we are committed to optimizing our accounting processes, eliminating inefficiencies, and leveraging technology to drive automation.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing accounting processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose processes improvement with a focus on automated solutions.
- Implement first-level automation tools to streamline accounting workflows, focusing on money-in and money-out processes, payroll support, and financial reporting.
- Challenge current processes and eliminate redundant tasks while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Work hands-on with the team to support day-to-day operations while also maintaining a strategic, big-picture approach.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, IT, and operations, to drive process improvements.
- Ensure seamless integration between financial systems, including payroll, ERP, and reporting tools.
- Provide training and support to the accounting team on new processes and technologies.
- Monitor and refine automation initiatives to ensure continuous optimization.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, financial operations, or process automation.
- CPA designation or strong accounting background preferred.
- Experience with payroll processes and financial system integrations is an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to take a hands-on approach while also seeing the big picture.
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, automation tools, and an openness to learning new technologies.
- Experience implementing process improvements and automation solutions in a financial setting.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and change management skills.
- Bilingual (French and English) is an asset.
- Available to work overtime as needed.
