Kristina Ashqar began her journey with PSB BOISJOLI as an intern in 2005. She quickly rose up the ranks of the firm’s Audit and Assurance Division. From the beginning, she established herself as a gifted supervisor with strong professional competencies, and an impressive ability to manage mandates.

Kristina was promoted to Manager in 2012 and became a Partner in 2019. In 2024, she was named Co-Managing Partner, distinguishing herself as our youngest and first female partner in this esteemed role. Known for her passion, innovation, and strong people skills, Kristina consistently drives success and fosters a collaborative and inclusive environment within our organization.
Within the scope of her current responsibilities, she handles the accounts of several of the firm’s major clients, ensuring audit, assurance, taxation services for companies from a diverse range of sectors. She also plays a key role in the oversight and management of the audit department.

Since 2012, Kristina has managed one of the largest Canadian private portfolio managers and this company’s closed-end mutual fund trusts, with assets under management of several billion dollars. Her areas of expertise include audit and assurance, in addition to preparing financial statements in compliance with both International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE). In addition, Kristina has participated in various advisory and due diligence work in connection with client buy side and sell side deals.

Kristina co-chairs the firm’s Executive Committee and plays a leading role on the firm’s Audit and Assurance and Recruitment Committees. Actively committed to the profession and all aspects of recruitment, Kristina has earned recognition as an essential leader for PSB BOISJOLI.
